Sherry Lynnes mission is to foster personal safety, growth, and independence in women after a life of domestic abuse. Often women find themselves stuck, feel loss, or are not able to move forward and enjoy happiness they deserve.

Tammy Scheper, the CEO/Founder of Sherry Lynnes, is a retired, decorated Naval officer.  She is a service-disabled veteran, combat wounded warrior, who proudly served in Afghanistan and East Africa.  Tammy is now dedicated to helping women learn how to live their best life ever, regardless what challenges have or may arise.

Tammy is driven by a single goal; to do her part in rebuilding the life's of women, restoring self-confidence, strength, and courage, making the world a better place for all.

Tammy's message: "Resilience has been second nature to me throughout my life. I have had many life challenges to overcome but have pushed through, each unstoppable moment making me stronger and more determined than the last.

Many wonder how I have continued to succeed and move forward in life after experiencing so many traumas, which truly could have been life stopping.

Resilience!!  I am fortunate to be as resilient as my mother, Sherry Lynne.  She was the strongest and most resilient woman I have ever known.  Mom had many challenges in her life, but always smiled, always encouraged others, and always succeeded in conquering any life challenge, no challenge seemed too big.   This, my friends, is why I honor Mom by naming my non profit, Sherry Lynne.

             HOW MY JOURNEY STARTED

In the early hours of August 9th, 1992, my mother met the ultimate challenge she could not conquer, witnessing her two sons being murdered, and loosing her own life trying to protect them.

After surviving the trauma of the murders of my mother, my best friend, and my brothers who were like my sons, I knew then, I had received the gift of resilience from my mother. I picked up my broken heart, bounced back, and moved forward with determination to raise my family, became a decorated combat Naval officer, and now CEO of my nonprofit. All while other unstoppable events continued to happen, losing my only surviving sibling to suicide in 2009 and losing my only son to a drug overdose in 2011, 3 days before leaving for combat duty.

If life was not challenging enough, I am also a domestic abuse survivor, suffering near death from domestic violence.  My senior military leadership at that time blamed me for my horrific almost deadly domestic assault caused by my  husband, saying "you're a liar, you will always be a liar" "don't  dare park by our building, part at least two blocks away "how dare you tell your husband where you work" "you are not to cooperate with the civilian police". It was awful, I was shattered emotionally and physically, everyone turned their back on me.

My last command leadership was excellent, they never left my side as I returned from combat a wounded warrior.  I became very suicidal with two suicide attempts.  My company commander and my executive officer stood by my side as I recovered and still continue to support me in chasing my dreams.  My dream of helping other women recovering from lifes challenges and providing support to those who cannot move forward in life.  We will and we do recover from domestic violence.

My journey of life challenges and experience has developed me into a natural life coach, helping other women in rebuilding their lives after life stopping moments.  We get stuck, we can't move forward, we are lost, we are numb, how do we start living our new normal and restore our happiness.

My Resilience and Confidence program provides the tools and knowledge to rebuild the lives of women focusing on self-discovery, letting go, forgiveness, permission, and yes of course our signature Resiliency module will bring it all together.  But wait, you are not finished, we don't leave you, we assign you an accountability coach as you continue to grow your new life, your journey to living your best life ever.  We cannot change yesterday, but we can and we will start thriving again.

                                                                RESOURCES

We continually build relationships with community partners, connecting women to a variety of resources. If you are a resource or know a resource we should share, please provide us their contact information for our resource page.

                                                                        OUR APPROACH

We are not a counseling or therapy program.  We use educational programs, self-analysis and goal setting, peer to peer support services, advocacy, and various local networks in providing the tools and knowledge necessary for women in creating a stepping stone path in moving their life from surviving to thriving.

Sherry Lynnes is making a positive impact

in restoring happiness in the lives of women around the world.

Thank you Mom for providing us your gift of Resilience

and watching over us as we change so many lives!!!!   ❤️
